This isn’t just another course teaching you a fancy technique or pushing you to mirror another textile artist’s style. It’s about using a simple creative process to create textile art that you feel proud of. And what better way to show this than by stitching portraits of your loved ones.
In this first module, which has three classes in total, you'll lay some really strong foundations for creating textile art portraits with hand stitch.

In this module, which has three classes, you’re going to do some focused work on creating the facial features of your subjects with stitch.
2.1 Exploring eyes

2.3 Exploring hair
This third module is called Building the image and it’s a very exciting one. This is where you start to put the flesh on the bones of your textile portraits.
3.1 Starting simple with hand stitch

3.3 Appliqué & hand stitch

Throughout this module, you’re going to create three versions or variations of the same basic image using different prompts as your starting point.
